I have a 2024 Silverado 3500HD High Country ordered and was hoping for some help/assistance on the adaptive cruise control sensors and camera locations. The reason I am curious is that I would like to get a front replacement bumper with grill guard. Where are these sensors or cameras located? What are the functions of the camera in the grill???
Another question I have is in relation to the rear bumper…..I know that there are the proximity sensors located in the rear bumper. Are there any other sensors located in the rear bumper (such as something related to the blind spot indicator)?
Thanks in advance!!!
On previous models the camera was in the grill so anything other than an OEM bumper would cause issues. I suspect the sensors will also be a problem but I dont have info on exactly where they are.
You may need to contact the builder of the bumper and ask if they have been able to engineer around these items. I know for a fact that any bumper that extends farther forward than the OEM one will interfere with the camera.
