My order of a 2024 Sierra 2500 HD Denali Ultimate apparently has been built since the beginning of June and is still sitting at the plant.
I was told it may be a QC issue.
Anyone know anything about this and why delivery is being held up?

I have a 2024 2500 AT4 that was produced on 7-15 and was shipped from the plant in Flint on 7-19 to a transportation holding yard also in Flint Michigan. I called the 3rd party company and provided my last 6 of vin number and they told me the truck was on a GM Hold for some reason. They said it could be a QC hold or the vehicle is waiting on something (maybe spray in bed liner or waiting on something else)?

I have been that it is a QC issue but no one seem to know exactly what it is. I was told it was only Sierra 2500HD Denali Ultimates, but I see from your post it goes further.
My truck was built the beginning of June and there it sits for the last 2 months, gathering dust in the sun.
What 3rd party company did you call?

I called the vehicle transportation company that is supposed to ship the vehicle. It was moved from the plant to a yard that ships them out. The company I dealt with was Precision Vehicle Solutions 810-455-3805. The last status I had on my truck was “4300” Intermediate Delivery to this company. I got all of this information from my dealer. I then called on my own and they told me it was in a hold per GM? Hopefully your vehicle is in a paved yard, I’m from Michigan and during covid (chip shortage) they had hundreds of vehicles sitting along I-75 in grass fields. Can only imagine what issues pop up with 2022 vehicles.

I also have my VIN but other than knowing for sure there is a truck out that is built and assigned to me, I have nothing else.
I am told there is a number of Sierras 2500 and 3500 in the same boat and are all diesels, which maybe suggests there is a problem with the new engine upgrade.
That may also be why there is silence on the reason for the delay in delivery.
I hope the truck has not been affected by the elements and is not being stored in the grassy fields you mention, being a housing development for mice.
With the cost of these trucks, you would think GM would be a little more forthcoming on the reason for the delay, to their customers.
