I recently purchased a 2024 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate with a Carbon Pro bed lining. Have tried to order a LEER Topper but was informed the topper could not be attached due to no place to install the clamps. One photo I’ve seen shows the inside portion of the bed with holes cut out to place the clamps. Wondering if anyone has run into this issue and if so, how did you resolve it. The dealerships I’ve checked with are reluctant to install any topper without voiding the warranty, It might affect the vehicle warranty as well. Leaks would be a possibility if done wrong which might cause leaking to the metal behind the liner. I cannot believe this hasn’t come up as an issue already with GMC so that’s why i’m checking the Forum for ideas and/or recommendations.

I dont understand why the dealer told you that there was no topper for this. I have the same 24 Carbon Pro and I was able to order the GM topper. The clamps were an issue and the dealer offered to install it for free. I dont know what they did, but, I do remember many companies told me I could not buy their folding top covers because they insisted the clamp issue was too much to deal with. The chinese knock offs were alot cheaper, but, in the end I did the GM one the dealer offered.

I’ve been looking at the Smartcap Adventure. The smartcap dealer here won’t guarantee an install or any leakage caused from drilling into the carbon pro bed. Would you mind sending a couple pics of the clamps and number of clamps per side? I’m in Fredericksburg VA and will contact the local dealers who install the smartcaps. Also if you ran into issues, what were they. I originally ordered a Leer cap but the local dealer said they wouldn’t be able to install to the carbon pro. Where are you located? Thanks much. -John Cheek

John, order GM one online at GMC.com. A GM dealer probably doesnt want to install the LEAR because its a non GM part they would be on the hook. Most dealers offer discount on labor if purchased through the GMC website. There is also a parts discount…………..Good Luck.
