Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get GM to fix my truck? With 1850 miles on my 2500 AT4 Duramax, it’s been in the shop for over a month waiting on a part. They say GM engineering thinks it is a turbocharger actuator that needs to be replaced. When you spend $80+K on a truck, you think you might get better service. It has been nothing but complete frustration. No loaner truck, no compensation, no time frame. Be careful of what you get yourself into when you spend all your savings on a new truck thinking that you won’t need to have it worked on for a long time. I feel GM really blew it by putting these trucks out on the market without any replacement parts. WTF

That Sucks! I have a 2500 AT4 Duramax on order right now. I sure hope they figure out your issue. Is it showing a code?

GM is having a huge problem with venders these days. If you give me the last 8 of your VIN I’ll see if I can get a update

Thanks for reaching out.
I took my truck to a couple different local shops first to figure out the code. Both said it was some type of exhaust sensor( its been so long, I forgot the code numbers. Then I took it to a dealership where they with GM engineering says that it was a Turbocharger actuator. I hope they are right.
I spoke with GM customer service on Friday after several phone calls. My case worker said since she didn’t have any new news, she did’t bother to call me back. Finally she tells me that the part shipped out on July 31, and should show up to the service center on Aug. 12th. I asked if I could pay for overnight delivery and was told that was not an option.
I am now concerned with getting the truck back and still having the truck not fixed but I guess that is my nervous nature. I have been thinking that with all the stringent regs on the diesel emissions that I should start thinking about trading in my diesel and getting a gasser? While the diesels are quite impressive in towing, I am starting to question if it is worth the extra costs associated with them.
Anybody have thoughts on the gas engine? I typically tow no more than 14K #’s a few times a month. And other than that it is a lumber hauler. -

Glad to offer the help. As long as your part was on back order I certainly hope that your dealer had a spac case on the part and that means GM would overnight it at no charge to you.
Myself, I’d stick with the diesel just because of the towing..

As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, I don’t have specific information on the 2024 GMC 2500HD turbocharger actuator. Vehicle technology and specifications can change from year to year, and I don’t have access to real-time or future data.
If you have a question or need information about a specific vehicle component or model year, I recommend checking the official GMC website, contacting a GMC dealership, or consulting the owner’s manual for the most up-to-date and accurate information regarding the 2024 GMC 2500HD turbocharger actuator or any other component. They can provide you with the latest details and technical specifications for your vehicle.

My 2024 Sierra 2500 HD Denaili Ultimate was apparently built early May with delivery anticipated mid June.
I had confirmation it was built in a May 10 email from my dealer, but that it was being held at the plant and he didn’t know why.
I have the VIN number as well, but still no truck.
So here I am 3 1/2 months + later and still non the wiser as to why it is being held.
Anyone else in this situation or does anyone know why it could be being held?
Is this to do with the Actuator and problems with the new engine?
Has anyone received such a truck yet?
