Has anyone heard of any dealers having received allocations for 2024 Denali Ultimate HD builds? My dealer has received allocations for the regular Denali but not the Ultimate. I’m willing to wait for a bit but if it’s going to take several weeks then I will just load up the options on a standard one.

my dealer has received some Denali ultimate allocations already, has been getting them for the past 3 weeks. I was 3rd on the list, now I am first on the list. so, it is moving, just slowly.

Ordered My 24 HD ultimate mar 3rd at Becker Buick . says order submitted not yet accepted. my dealer told me 5 months when i was sitting in the chair ordering it and 6 ahead of me. good luck to all …
i have a question if its all about allocations does that mean that every vehicle that goes down the line is sold now more building dealer stock right ? -

So my order is “in the system” but my understanding is that until the dealer gets an allocation the order is just a placeholder. He has gotten allocations for 2024 Sierra HD Denali and other trim levels, just not the Ultimate version. Not sure if it is on constraint or what the deal is.
If anyone has actually received a VIN number, then that means you are in the build queue. My dealer indicated that the standard 2024 Denali’s he ordered for buyers using his allocations, had build complete dates in first week of May
I believe that the way it works is when dealers get allocations and they can either order dealer stock or customer specific builds. My guess is that if they have customer orders in the system, they use their allocations for those and if no customer orders then they order for their stock. Allocations are based on many factors like past sales numbers etc.

Not sure what your dealers are telling you as to they “have your order ready to go when an allocation becomes available”. By the information below copied from their newsletter they aren’t taking orders yet.
Meanwhile, production of the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 is set to kick off on July 17th, 2023. Dealers will be able to order new units of the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 starting in June. Both the 2023 and 2024 model years feature only minor changes following the fifth generation’s mid-cycle refresh with the launch of the 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500.
The upcoming 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 also introduces only minor changes and is scheduled to see start of regular production (SORP) on July 17th, 2023.

I am sure they are building out the 23’s but with the two plants shutting down will likely delay things. My point was that of the 24’s that dealers are claiming to be able to order isn’t likely until later this summer.

I ordered mine the last week of January and just received an email from GMC that it’s being built right now. I haven’t received a VIN # yet.

I stand corrected, my info was regarding the 1500’s. I see the HD’s in Flint did start 24 production on March 1st. Good luck with your order and hope it all goes smoothly as it should.
