ParticipantI ordered a 2024 Buick Envista ST at my local dealership in Tucson AZ on September 27th 2023, was told it was built on the week of December 27th at the GM plant in South Korea, since then, nothing….It is now early April, my dealership still cannot provide me with a VIN, and only suggest vague time frames as to when the car is supposed to arrive that get pushed back all the time….
Has anyone else experience the same ordeal ordering an Envista? Is 6 months plus considered a normal waiting period for this particular car? Thanks for your time….. -

ParticipantSorry you are having a problem getting your Envista however I’ve owed one since last Labor day any I think You’ll find it worth the wait. Funny that 2 weeks after I got mine I made a road trip across the 8 from So Cal to Tucson. I’ll ask the guys in sales on monday what kind of time its taking to get one

ParticipantSadly, I have a similar story as we ordered our Envista Avenir sept 8 and have been pushed back time and again. Buick Canada says that it was shipped December 20 but the dealership now says June. Six weeks ago, they said first week of April. I am not sure how good anyone else’s dealership is but mine is awful, not returning my phone calls once in the six months that this car has been ordered and we paid a deposit. If the presale service is this poor, I am beginning to wonder if my wife and I should go looking for a different brand of car altogether. Very frustrating. Anyone out there have a different experience or is this just how it is?

ParticipantJust to add to the confusion we went to another dealership to look at an Envista that is neither the colour nor the interior that we ordered and they looked up the order number on our car. From their info it shows that this order doesn’t exist, not built, not shipped, not sold they think! So frustrating!!!!! Where do we go from here? Buick Canada gives erroneous information, selling dealer gives no info or wrong info, or more accurately just worse info. And dealership number 2 says that there is no traceable order in the system for our car from anywhere in Canada.. How are any of these scenarios plausible? Please, if anyone out there is an employee of Buick or GM and can explain, I would really appreciate it.

ParticipantWent to the dealership 2 weeks ago, spoke to the gm who took the time to check on it,result? the car is still , quote: on water, and no vin available until it will be processed when it arrives to the port of LA….Best guesstimate to arrive at the dealership in Tucson ? first part of July which means 9 months wait from when the car was first ordered….Hope it will be worth it,,,Thanks everyone for your insights!

ParticipantThanks for the offer…..I finally was able to escalate until the dealer General Manager got involved. He actually took the time to use the tools available at the dealership and provided me with the vin and the current location of the car. Apparently it is sitting at the Vancouver port awaiting shipping so the dealer believes best case scenario is end of May or another six weeks. Disappointed for sure but at least we know something about the car and that it actually exists. Both my wife and I are excited about this car as we think it is a pretty cool design with great content for the price. We have picked out a Honda Civic as our pinch hitter if things go south.

ParticipantI ordered my Envista ST in December 2023. Same stories as all above. Two weeks ago the dealership told me they were invoiced and that means it’s moving along and typically should be soon.
My current lease was due back in December and they extended it month-to-month until June.

ParticipantSo, obviously we did not receive our car back in May when it was once promised. The date got pushed back to July 6 (remember I preferred this back in September of 2023) . Then, we went to the dealership to see another in red so we could verify that we should continue to wait for ours. When we got there, the lady who was helping us checked on the order status and it was pushed back AGAIN to Third or fourth week of July.
WE HAVE CANCELLED OUR ORDER and received our deposit refund. We have things we want to do this summer besides chasing our new car so have given up on the notion of our metallic red Envista.
Hopefully you have much better luck.

ParticipantThat’s such a bummer, I’m sorry. Hopefully you’ve landed another set of wheels that you’re happy with! I shall continue to wait for the time being 🙄
