hi! i just ordered a 24 gmc hd denali in redwood. the dealer told me 3-4 months. 24’s are on lots, so production is happening 🙂

I ordered a 2500 Denali last Thursday and was told my event code immediately jumped to 3100. I believe this essentially means it is waiting for GM to assign a build week. I’m with you wondering how long that build week will take to assign, let alone actually happen. I check for status updates on the GMC.com chat using my order number so I can watch for changes.

Mine is a gasser too, but standard bed Crew Cab Denali. Just got an update, event code now 3300 scheduled for build week of 5/15. Zooming right along!

Depends on whether your dealer has allocations for that order. I ordered a High Country in January and my dealer just received their allocation for that vehicle, although I had to change color to get the order accepted.

ordered 3/4 crew gasser on 2.7.24, got a call from my dealer saying GM is stopping production of HD’s w/ the 8′ bed, anyone have insight on this?

Apparently GM doesn’t want to build vehicles that people want. I ordered my truck in March of 2022 the order still hasn’t been picked up. If they are not going to build trucks that they let you order then they need to be honest and tell people that they are only going to build certain vehicles. Time to head to a Ford dealership!

Orders my Z71 Sport Edition in January!! Still not picked up by GM. I should’ve went to a larger dealer with more allocations!!

I ordered a Denali ultimate the day they opened up orders (Jan). Mine was built 3/15 then invoiced to dealer. Showed it was ready to pick up, and then it was delayed 5/5. Now it is just sitting at Flint gm/Buick parking lot.

Hello from Texas, 1st post here. On Aug.10th I ordered a 2024 Chevy 2500 Double cab WT. Very basic, Gas,4WD, skid plates, Roof lights, 18″ Steel wheels, 10,750 GVWR. When ordered I was told there was nothing on my order to cause any delays. The next day the salesman called and told me I had to add “Work truck preferred equipment group” or Chevy would not accept the order. It cost about $1000.00 more. I told them to add it. The General manager said I was the only Double cab ordered, so when [if] they get a double cab allocation, I’m #1 on the list. We will see. A little back story, on Nov.17 2022 I ordered a similar Ford F250, I cancelled the order 9 months later after being told it was not going to be built. Ford and the dealer left a very sour taste in my mouth, and it will be a very long time before I even consider a Ford product. Now possible strike, Great!!! I’m not in dire need of a new truck, but if I go out to dinner, I want to eat it before breakfast time. I sure could use a new truck, and I cant drive a order. The last Chevy I owned was a 1955 6400 firetruck. I’d like to get this new truck and keep it for a long time. Thanks for listening.

I ordered a HD2500 Duramax Crew Cab 8 foot box four wheel drive High County back in October of 2022, when GM ended production of the 2023 model year my dealer placed a new order in February of 2023 for a 2024 model year. It is now September and that order never got picked up to date for production but back in July I placed another order with a very high volume dealer for the same truck and it has not been picked up for production either. I am now told that long beds (8 Foot) are on constraint for the last two weeks as the Ohsawa and Flint plants can not build 8 Foot beds at the moment and the 8 foot bed production line is down in both plants. This seams crazy I have ordered trucks before and have always gotten a truck in 10 to 12 weeks. This seems ridicules that you cannot order a truck and count on it being built in some reasonable time frame and I know that the smaller dealer may not have an allocation and therefor may never get one but the high volume dealer does have allocations and yet it won’t come up there either. Does anyone know what the constraint is about and when it may be resolved. Thank you. Mark.

I ordered a 2024 2500 HD Custom in Lake Shore Blue 7/18. Dealer gave me the order number 8/22, vin number 9/13. Chevrolet confirmed built on 9/21. Dealer called 10/03 with news it was issued a release for shipping with an expected shipping window of October thru January.
Have called dealer several times for any updates, signed up for email updates from Chevrolet. Never received any event codes, salesman didn’t know what I was talking about.
Google maps shows 5 hour drive to Oshawa factory from dealership, wish I could get it released I’d go pick it up.
I’ll call Chevrolet after the 18th. The 4 month anniversary of it being ordered to try and get an update. -
My dealer called me Wednesday morning with news that my truck had arrived that morning. Apparently it had been shipped to Selkirk, south of Albany and sat in the yard there for 35 days! Picked it up today, 4 months to the day from placing the order. Love the color, looks a lot better than the pictures on the website.

That’s good news, congratulations, Mine has not moved. I ordered a 23 Ford f250 over a year ago, and never got it. So I ordered this in August and this is frustrating. What trim/options did you order? Again congrats..

Double cab LT loaded with all options safety package both connivence packages leather bucket seats heat remote etc.
