I have a AT4 Terrain with 44,000 highway miles. I heard a ticking sound drove it to the dealership. Service said I could still drive it.
Later that day, I heard a slight screeching, like a loose belt sound but continued to drive. Almost home, the car started to hesitate, then ‘Engine Power is Reduced’ message came on followed by the check engine light.. car started to lose power and wouldn’t go over 20mph; then it was making this scraping and banging noise that was so loud, I thought the muffler was dragging (it wasn’t). Pulled into my friends yard and parked the car. Had to have it towed to the dealership the next morning.
I bought this 2023 Terrain AT4 amost 2 years ago and never had any problems with it.. I take it for regular maintenance; tire rotation, oil change, etc.
Has anyone had this problem or any similar issues with the Terrain?
