I have just received my 2023 Denali Yukon XL, My previous Denali (2018) had power mirrors that I could fold in while I was driving on some narrow roads with vines and branches hanging out onto the roadway. I had to replace two outside mirrors on my 2012 and my 2015…before I figured out that they SHOULD be folded in on narrow streets.
The 2023 folding outside mirrors automatically deploy to the original position when the car is moving over 25 MPH.
Is there a work around on this? I want to keep them folded at speeds over 25.
My rearview mirror is linked to a dozen cameras that show me all I need to see if the outside mirrors were folded.
I bet those replacement outside mirrors are over $1,000. My dealer did not even know about this feature. I had a 2021 on order (Covid…no show)…then a 2022 (Covid…no show)…and was finally able to get the 2023.
I think GMC has made a mistake with this new outside mirror “feature”.
