I ordered a Chevy Silverado in April of 2022 & it has been built & is setting in storage in Mexico, when should I expect it to leave Mexico for delivery to Norfolk, Va.?

Good luck! Mine has been in storage for 4 months and still hasn’t moved.

I ordered a Silverado 1500 in April 2022, canceled by GM in July 2022. Ordered a 2023 Silverado 1500 fully equipped with almost all the packages and options in July, built mid October and delivered November 3. The only items from the order were the diesel motor, Z71 4wd and color. None of the other packages or options on the order. I did not purchase it.

It seems by the posts in here that the build and delivery problems are mostly from the trucks built south of the border. There are likely those from stateside and Canada but don’t seem to here of so many. Just curious. Mine went into production in April at the Ft. Wayne plant and was delivered mid June with only park assist missing.

I picked up my ’22 Trail Boss Lt in August. Side sticker shows it was built in Mexico July ’22. There is just no rhyme or reason for all the delays.

Ordered a 2022 Silverado regular cab 5.3 in April 2022. Had to change it to a 2023 in July. Truck was built October 18, 2022 in Silao Mexico, and has showed as “In the shipyard waiting for transit” ever since…

I don’t understand how this is a viable business model. If you can’t deliver the truck as ordered let the buyer know.
