I have a 2022 Silverado ZR2 with google assistant built in and when I am trying to use the voice command button on steering wheel, google assistant can’t make calls while CarPlay is active. I like CarPlay for certain things so I would like to be able to make calls or text message or answer calls with the voice command button but it defaults to google assistant. I tried disabling google assistant but that made the voice command button stop functioning all together. Is there a way to make the button default to CarPlay/Siri or have it function with google assistant even when CarPlay is active?
Did you ever get this answered? Randomly like 4 days after I bought mine I lost the posted speed limit on navigation and it sounds related. Google assistant isn’t working either.
