Just received my 2022 Silverado Refresh 5 days ago (and it’s a beautiful), however I was just driving it and I noticed an issue with my speakers crackling when I turn up the volume. Anybody else having this issue?

I saw on another site about a half dozen or so complaints about that exact issue. Should check out the thread over there on it. Im disappointed to here of that issue seeming so widespread

That means that the driver, or drivers have a burnt voice coil and need to be replaced.
My wife’s RST Bose system puts out some massive low bass and that would take its toll if the speakers aren’t good.
Warranty work right there.

2022 Sierra Refresh, Yukon & Tahoe have same issue. Replacing the speaker does not fix it. There is a new GM Technical service bulletin issue on this, but no fix yet, last line of the Bulletin reads “GM Engineers are aware of the issue & are currently working on a remedy for it”

I’ve had the same problem i just bought my Silverado 3 days ago and started this morning, scratching and glitching. I restarted the electronic system in safe mode and now it’s working back to normal but i don’t know if it’s a long term fix but for the current time it’s a temporary fix. hope this helps

Has anyone replaced the Bose speakers with aftermarket upgrades? Any issues with doing so? Any feedback on adding the kicker sub (part #19417164) to the system?

Just to update, still no official fix from GM or engineers on the speaker issue. Can confirm from our technicians the “safe mode” does temporarily stop it so its likely a software issue. But again, no update on the bulletin.

My speakers crackled the very first time I turned on my truck setting it up. That time only 27miles on OD. 3-4 months later it does it once twice a week. Sounds so bad I have to turn off audio. However, if I unplug phone completely. Go to phone setting disconnect from phone. Switch source to am/fm radio. Turn infotainment center off. Then shut off vehicle, open door wait 30 seconds, close door, start truck like normal and try audio again it works every time. Extremely annoying and have never had this issue with any previous vehicle. Was so bad one time the infotainment locked up completely every time went to drive vehicle still stuck on same locked up screen image. Had to disconnect negative terminal.
