Anyone else having issues with their Google GPS? Four times now the map has lagged behind, DRASTICALLY. Once going down to Dallas TX and the others here in northern Illinois. Yesterday was a test drive and it occurred twice. One on the way to my destination, and again on the way home. Both times I called OnStar and they have escalated the issue. I’m not certain if it is a hardware issue, or a signal issue. Either way, the GPS function is useless. I was able to provide video for the dealer, so they are researching. Yesterday I pulled into my driveway and the map showed I was over 20 miles away. Anyone…

I’ve only driven about 1200 miles so far in my Denali. But during one leg of a 500 mile trip I did notice the Google map display at the bottom displaying something to the effect of “searching for GPS”. I didn’t pay allot of attention during the trip because I was using Waze mostly but for some reason checked out Google Maps. Noticed it was WAY wrong – i.e. seemingly frozen. Then noticed the message. It stayed that way until my next stop.
After a stop for gas – which equates to a reboot – the Google Maps app worked fine the remaining 250 miles.
I switched between Waze and Google on the return tip and they both worked fine. I wish there was a way to reboot the console without turning off the truck.

Don’t expect any useful help from Onstar, they are worthless. I talked with them several times and finally got so frustrated I told them to cancel all services. Just wasn’t worth the hassle. One day I “might” attempt to try again but not sure it is worth the hassle. A simple data package alone does anything I need.
