Hi guys,
I recently bought a 2022 Chevy Tahoe, but it didn’t come equipped with park assist chips, I ordered a chip online and my car service center attempted to install it. However, when they tried to activate the park assist function, the system displayed an error message and prompted us to “contact your dealer.” It seems that the necessary firmware needs to be downloaded from the GM site, but there’s no available firmware for my VIN that includes the activated Park Assist feature. The staff at the service center suggested that only a dealer can request GM to upload the firmware to their website.
The issue is that I’m unaware of the original dealer who sold my Chevy (I bought it from an individual who also claims ignorance on this matter).
Are there any ways to either:
1. Identify the original dealer,
2. Or directly contact GM to request the firmware?
Many thanks in advance!
The VIN is 1GNSK8KD1NR333061
your Tahoe doesnt look like it had a ” later retrofit” for sensors. but it wouldnt matter what GM dealer you went to.
you do however have a retrofit for the ventilated seats. you can schedule that appt with any GM dealer. might as well talk to them about the other issues then.
Cornellian, I ran your VIN the same as Jpendley did you Tahoe is already has park assist(UD5) so no retrofit is needed and your Tahoe can get the ventilated seats done anytime now.
