ParticipantGm Authority mentioned Jan 5th, but recently a dealer told me Jan 20th. I’m giving it until Sunday, then either going to look at the 22 Limited, or honestly going for a Ram. Hard to believe they’re going to showcase the Silverado EV at CES tomorrow, but can’t launch the refreshed. GM Authority also reported that production for the refreshed due to start on some trims on 2/7.

ParticipantI totally agree. I attempted to order a High Country with 6.2 way last March but dealer never got a slot for it. I agreed to wait will refreshed model came available. Like you I read it was to go live no later than Jan. 5th but to date nothing. Dealer can build and order on his pc but no prices and gm is not providing any slots to build. I sat down with my dealer December 23rd and put order together but that is as far as it has gone. Getting more than frustrated myself. Hate to go elsewhere but I have already had to buy another vehicle due to this mess but I have to do what I have to do.

ParticipantI am guessing sometime in 2023 LOL probably same time the dealer will take a deposit and put you on a list to order for the next year….. Mary should be so proud that GM got beat by Toyota in US sales, its only something GM has led for 90 years till now! but at least we will be making all electric vehicles within next 2 years… brilliant planning, can’t keep up or even produce enough vehicles now but somehow changing the entire format will solve that problem. That’s going to be great if you want to travel from northern Texas to most southern part, just 1,000 miles only have to recharge 4.2 times at 30 mins or more per charge – brilliant thinking SMH Check out the new series on NBC – American Auto it has to be a documentary of GM and CEO Mary not a comedy

ParticipantI do not know anything about your situation but I will relate my experience with the purchase of a 2020 Chevrolet 2500HD 6.6L Diesel Pickup truck. Dealer ordered the truck for me before I was committed to purchase it before I had approval from the wife which I got the following day. Unfortunately, it was ordered for inventory because I was not added as the buyer. The truck was assembled in the timeframe given to the dealer. I waited the required 30 days and contacted the dealer for the actual delivery date. No such luck. I stopped by the dealership weekly to see if there was an update. Eventually, I was told that it was assembled and sitting in a parking lot without a delivery date. After three months, the truck was still sitting the parking lot with no further update as to when it would be loaded on a rail car from Flint and delivered to Tampa, Florida. Frustrated, I sent an email to Mary Barra, Chair and CEO of General Motors. I received a quick response from Mary indicating that she would assign the task to someone at Chevrolet who worked for her directly. That person sent me an email anytime an update was available. Three days later, my truck was on a rail car, delivered to a railhead in Tampa, and then sent to my dealership. The dealer performed the pre-delivery inspection, and the truck was ready the next day for me to take possession. It’s too bad that sometimes one has to start at the top to get results.

ParticipantThe only positive response is the customer that bought a 2020 and had to get the CEO involved to even get it, that was a 2020 model 2 years ago. Only thing I see from mary barra is her telling the shareholders how much record setting money she is making them. That’s easy to do when you take most of the rebates away selling during high demand, no supply to speak of. She is so excited about telling me how great the unproven EV’s are going to be and they can’t even supply a proven product that is in high demand. Fix and produce the problem at hand and implement your future product when you can take care of your current needs – so sick of government motors GM these past few years I wish I had bailed on them years ago

ParticipantNow they are saying middle of next week, week of January 24th. But can’t believe them since they are experts at moving the goal post. At best it is a moving target!!!

ParticipantAnd yet ANOTHER week has come and gone with nothing new. No pricing, no allocations! Getting awfully sick of their misleading half truths.

ParticipantBusiness is having a tough time under Biden. My dealer has made three offers to buy back my 2020 Chevrolet 2500HD High Country with the L5P and Allison 10 speed transmission. The offers were three weeks apart. 1) $72,000 2) $74,000 and 3) $75,000. Then they would put me on a waiting list for a replacement. The truck has 20,000 miles on it. I waited three months before I got it. There were people who wanted to buy it before I got it off the lot and pay me more for it. Who knows how long I would wait for the replacement if I gave up the 2020. I have to believe that the cost of the replacement could be more than $100,000. On top of that, it might be 2023 or later before a replacement is available.
