Why, when I research the schematic and connection diagram for my 2022 GMC Canyon AT4, (VIN 1GTG6FEN7N1125793) and locate the headlights it depicts the LED Bars above and below the deadlights as the Daytime Running Lights but my truck does NOT turn these LED accent lights as the DRL’s but uses the old method of dimming the headlights. I have always considered that DRL method to be objectionable and am very disappointed in this on an otherwise very nice vehicle.
When I ask the dealer I get pretty much a blank look. I am an EE and appear to know much more about the lighting system than they do.
I am looking for a way to change my vehicle to operate the way it was obviously designed.
The light bar you are speaking of dont have a power source to them Strictly for looks. Sorry
