Bought used 2021 Yukon XL Denali with 6.2 and 36k miles 4 weeks ago, Few days ago started to notice that the rpm revs upwards to 800-900 when I’m stopping. Seems very strange and abnormal. Had anyone experienced this and of so what’s the cause?
I also noticed when I shift from D to R and R back to D I hear what sounds like a thud and small jolt. There is no thud or jolt when I shift from P to R or P to D. Is this common or normal?
This is normal
Thanks for the response. Are you saying both of the situations I described are normal?
I know mine is an older vehicle, but my 2015 gmc did that for a bit but corrected itself after a while. Personally i think it was probably bad gas/dirty injectors for me because i didn’t have a CEL. This is a common issue with gm vehicles though.
Appreciate the info sir. Praying it’s not a major issue. I keep running into folks who say this is common and normal.
