I had a problem with my 1500 with the 3.0 diesel 2 1/2 weeks ago. It would turn over but wouldn’t start, after 15 minutes or so it started.
Long story short, took it to the dealership to have it checked out. The next day I was told it is something in the wire harness and some module. It could be 2 or 3 weeks or 2 or 3 months. I have a rental car that GM is paying for while I don’t have a vehicle.
Any one else have this same problem?
I typed the wrong thing, it should say waiting on parts.
A common problem on 2020 and later 3.0 Duramax diesels in Chevy, GMC and Cadillac vehicles. I’d get rid of it before other brands find out and your trade value plummets. It will happen again after they replace the harness (rolling my eyes and that being the problem) and the $4 module that can be removed and the truck still start. You’ll begin to dread pushing the start button and wondering if the starter will whine for 10-12 secs and it not start. Been there many times.
