Any information regarding valve spring breakage on 6.2 engines. Purchased a new 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 11/18/20. On 11/20/20, that’s two days after purchase my family and I were left stranded. It has been at dealership awaiting parts since 11/21/21. Can’t find parts, can’t track if shipped, coming today then not coming today. Left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. Excuses after excuses. That’s 13 days and counting. 48 hours and 150 miles hours in my possession. Very frustrated and disappointed in GM’s response or lack of response to this.
I traded in a reliable daily driving 2005 Dodge Durango SLT with 280,00 + miles. Starting to believe this first GM purchase was the dumbest purchase I have ever made.
I would suggest looking into the lemon laws in your state. Be sure to protect yourself as there is usually a max number of days and / or # of attempts to fix a specific issue before it becomes a lemon. Then under most lemon laws they have to buy back at purchase price. There are many times requirements for it to apply, so check it out. Just something to keep it in your favor.
Excuse my typo – 11/21/20 not 11/21/21
Wow. Had ours break around 150 miles. Dealership was able to replace in a day. Amazed they are still ongoing. Hoping you get it back soon. I’ll say that after getting it back, nothing sounds out of place. In our case, no damage to pistons and other components. Good luck.
