I’m waiting on a factory order for a 2021 Canyon AT4 that has a TPW of 8/9/21. However, I read in an article from the Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette that the GM Wentzville plant that produces Canyons and Colorados is supposedly retooling for 2022 production. They reported that all the “built-shy” models waiting for chips have been shipped and they are now moving on to the new production year.
However, the chat on GMC.com said that if my order has a TPW date, then production will still happen.
This seems contradictory. Does anyone have any insights? Is my order likely to get canceled due to chip shortages?
My 2022 Canyon Denali was produced Aug 31 and still has not shipped. Stock orders produced after mine are now sitting in inventory on dealer lots. Why has my sold order not shipped ?
