Ordered Dec 2020; received word yesterday that order was cancelled/rejected due to chip supply. To be clear, GM told dealer they’ll build the truck, but without technology, driver alert I or II, and AT4 Premium packages; sounds like a 2″ lifted LT w/ Kalahari accented seats (no offense to LT trucks :)). Only reason for special order was fully loaded w/std bed. Dealer kept my order so will wait for a 2022.
I am (only marginally) amazed that GM, Ford, etc. are all single-source minded; why would any large, high capacity production line place nearly 100% reliance on a single chip manufacturer in Japan (conspiracy theory is China operatives set fire that leveled the plant); I hope Intel can step up to the chip-plate soon.
