I just got a 2021 Acadia and the one thing I dislike are all the woodgrain trim pieces on the interior. I found some part numbers but I can’t seem to find anything about replacing them. Can someone tell me if they simply pop off the dash and the door panels? As for the center console where the front cup holders and shifter buttons are, does that woodgrain trim plate pop off or is it all one piece? The interior is all black so I’d prefer to replace those fake wood pieces with black also. Has anyone done this? I just can’t find any YouTube videos about the Acadia.

My question is, why did you even buy the vehicle if you didn’t like the interior ? Makes no sense ! Just because you like the exterior ? Shoulda never have bought the vehicle in my opinion !!

My wife picked it out and she will be driving it a lot more than me. She doesn’t mind it as much as I do and she loves the black on black exterior that we had a hard time finding.

Can those pieces be popped off without dismantling a ton of other things? I enjoy projects like that but like I said, I’m new to GMC and there aren’t many diy videos for the Acadia.

Ok, was just curious as to why you would buy the vehicle if you didn’t really like the interior . No worries . I’m assuming you can change out the panels if you know the right aftermarket seller that sells that kind of stuff . Maybe a professional detailer could help you out ? Best of luck !!

If you give the Last 8 of your VIN I’ll see if I can give you some part numbers

Did a little work on this and it looks like every Acadia comes with some form of woodgrain trim. I dont know how much you willing to spend on this but the console piece is over $200. best is a trim shop or maybe something in the aftermarket

When you say console piece, do you mean the section by the cupholders/drive mode knobs in the front between the seats? Is the $200 the price of the same woodgrain part that is OEM? What is the part number? I’m mainly interested in how to take those woodgrain pieces off so that I can either wrap or paint them. If they all just clip on and don’t require me to dismantle the entire interior of the car then it would be worth it to me to change the color. There are woodgrain pieces on each door, that center console piece, and one random piece on the passenger side dash attached to the air vent. I’m nervous about just prying them off because I worry they will break if they have hidden screws or something holding them on.

When I said the console piece I meant the piece by the cup holder. I’ll have to get the part number on Tuesday. I believe the woodgrain is glued to the parts.

I figured out that the wood grain parts are called appliques. The ones on the doors are F Appliques but I can’t find actual pictures of what I’m wanting to buy. All the sites just show an illustration of the part. I found one actual picture and it was black but I can’t confirm that it’ll actually be black when I get it or if it’s just an example picture. I think the AT4 Acadia has black in place of the wood grain but I can’t find good pictures of that either, and I’m not sure if they’d be interchangeable.

The correct part number that you have in your car now is 84873943. I took a little time today and I’m unable to find a all black one. None of the options indicate that a AT4 or AT4X are different.

      Good luck

Thank you Parts Man! Last question, I contacted an eBay seller who was selling one that appears to be black and he told me the GMC catalog has the color listed as “arbiter”. No one can tell me what color that actually is and all the pictures I find are stock photos. Do you have any ideas what color arbiter actually is?

I saw that color when I was checking yours. I’ll see if there is a decent picture on monday..

I appreciate it. I ended up ordering the 2 back door trims in that color just to see what they look like in person. The best pictures I’ve seen don’t make them look completely black and they seem to have a pattern, almost like carbon fiber. I will have them next week in person to know for sure.
