I have a 2021 silverado trail boss with the 6.2L. When I am coming to a stop it seems when it down shifts into 1st it makes a flutter chirp noise. I tried it in manual mode and no noise :S. Anyone else with this I only have 1700km on it figured it would go away with break in but doesn’t seem to be. Also before Anyone ask I did not notice the noise due to windows being tint fresh so I could not hear it till they were down or I would of been right back to dealer.

I have a 2021 Chevy LTZ with the 6.2L and 10 speed transmission. Mine does the same thing. Every time I come to a stop it makes this chirping noise. I’ve had mine into 3 different GM dealerships and no one can figure it out. They tried replacing the exhaust valve next to the muffler, but that did not solve the issue.

Wow that’s not good!!! And I’ve started to think its the dfm I’m hearing if I put it in L on the shifter no noise.

In “L” mode what gear do you put your truck in?

You can put it into L9 and it still shifts it self from what I have seen. Not 100 percent if you punch it if it will but seems to shift still driving normal.

I’ve tried, L7, L8 and L9 those seem to eliminate the noise. Noise still remains on L10 though. Thanks for the tip!

Anytime!! I believe on L10 it still will basically puts it back for some reason kinda like going back to the normal drive mode in L10. We shouldn’t have to do so though I don’t like hearing noises. Keep me posted if the dealership says anything about that to you. I still haven’t got mine in waiting for first visit.

Here’s the deal with my scenario, I’ve had my truck into my local Chevy dealership 4 times. One of the times they tried replacing the exhaust valve next to the muffler and told me it was fixed. When I told them it wasn’t I brought it back and they basically told me they don’t know what the problem is and want me to wait for GM to release a service bulletin on the issue. I’ve tried my local GMC dealer and a Cadillac dealer. The foreman at Cadillac told me to just keep my windows up and to turn up my stereo. No one in my town seems to want to work on this thing to fix it.

Wow! I know I’ve heard they try to get out of fixing anything but that’s crazy. Can I ask did you take it to the dealer ypu bought it from cause I worry im going to end up in the same boat cause I bought my truck 4 hours away. So let’s be honest not going back and forth for oil changes so thats why I’ve been kinda holding out.

No, these dealerships are not from where I bought it. I bought it online and that dealership is about 4 hours away for me as well. I’ve contacted them and they said they’d take a look at it and do what they can. But it’s just getting my truck there and being without it for a week or two is what’s stopping me for now. I found this today and I’m considering it.

I’m going to try and say something about it being DFM and see how I make out. I will let you know for sure when I do. You can always try gm direct and they may help with the lack of dealership help. Also I do want a pulsar lt tune but I live in Canada and not sold on the website it comes from yet lol.

Well sorry for such a late reply but I just made it in for my first appt. Having said that I got no where as well I wasn’t able to go for the ride and mechanic said he couldn’t recreate the noise that there was no issue. I’ll end up pushing more when covid is a lot more lenient. How have you been with yours.

I just brought mine back to the dealership this morning to address this again. I referenced this article, hoping it gets me somewhere.
