The transmission is an 8 speed and slips when it shifts from first gear to second gear, the first time you drive the truck. As the transmission worms up the slipping seams to stop. although It is now starting to do this more often even after the truck warms up. I got this truck new and it now only has 2400 miles on it. I have had it at the dealers 3 times for this problem and they tell me there is nothing wrong because they can not duplicate the problem. so I looked on the internet and see GMC has had a lot of problems with the 8 speed transmissions on the older models up to 2019 but not the 2020 or 2021 models. Can anybody give advice about this problem?

I have a 2019 with similar problem. After 500 miles they changed the tranny fluid to Mobile 1. It did help, but I still get hard shifts going into 2nd gear and then again into 4th gear. This happens almost everyday when I leave my house and if the truck sits for a few hours. I now have 8200 on it. It is annoying but not out of control. Still I wished it didn’t do it.
