Im looking for some advice. I have a 2020 C8 with 4600 miles that has experienced lifter/camshaft damage to the point of metal in the oil and filter. Dealer claims chevy will only replace the lifters, I want a new engine! I have contacted Customer Service, the Corvette Museum where I took delivery and multiple call to the dealer with no solutions. What else can I do? I was given a name of Lane Rezek @ GM and his voice mail is full and not responding to my emails.
800-222-1020 and good luck getting a engine
Well that went just wonderful, GM’s warranty will only replace the damaged parts that are effected now, bearing score and crank and camshaft damage doesn’t warrant replacement until failure? WTF. Their solution is to fix the lifters now and see how long it last. This will be the last GM purchase.
Tough deal for sure but honestly the new generation seem to be a whole lot better. Hope it all works out for you
This situation seems challenging, but it’s worth noting that the new generation appears to have made significant improvements. I genuinely hope everything resolves positively for you.
