      Hello,
I need some help troubleshooting this.
I purchased my 2019 vehicle at the end of January 2019. I have only had it for a couple of months. I opted for the upgraded stereo because I had them in my previous GM vehicles and was very happy with the sound. My last being a 2013 Equinox with the Pioneer system.

However, the subwoofer for this BOSE stereo is too overpowering at a normal setting of 0 on the equalizer controls. The car resonates too much. If I move the bass down to -8 it is better but it is still punching through pretty strong. I lowered all the frequencies with the equalizer to get something more reasonable but the sound it thin.

I have demonstrated this to my dealer and to them it is working. There is sound coming from the speakers. However, they cannot tell me if it is functioning properly. There is a Bose Audio Pilot feature mentioned in the owner’s manual but his option is not in my settings (Apps->Audio). Should it be there? Do I have the correct software installed for the BOSE system?
I tried two other vehicles at my dealer and they were the same way. I’m not convinced this is how it should be functioning. If I wan’t more bass then I should increase it. I should not have to decrease to the end of the range to make it bearable. Just because two other vehicles demonstrated the same behavior doesn’t mean it is right. They could be having the issue too.

I listed to a variety of genres. I appreciate the richness of the low frequencies from the subwoofer when they blend well with the higher frequencies.
I have Sirius/XM and the Hits 1 channel is the worst. It is current pop music with strong bass but it sounds ridiculous. It was strong in my last vehicle but it still blended well. It wasn’t overpowering and making the car vibrate.
Whether it is XM, FM, or the Ipod, they all exhibit the overpowering bass.

I have reached out to BOSE as well and I am waiting for a response. Did something change between the 2018 and 2019 from the MyLink to the Chevy Infotainment system with the radio?

Please let me know what can be done to at least verify I have the correct components/software installed in my vehicle.

If there truly is not a problem, I will be considering finding another vehicle. I really don’t want to do this because I really enjoy the Equinox, but I cannot see my dealing with the stereo for the next 6 years.

      Thank you.
