Does anyone know if the Start-Stop engine feature in the 2019 Enclave can be disabled after the start (some vehicles have a button on the dash)?
I have a 2018 myself. Put the car in low or L then hit the paddle on the driver’s side until it reaches L9. It will now disable auto stop and shift normally. Doing this while driving down the road while in Drive will switch to whatever gear it’s in already too. Example you forgot to switch it over when you left your driveway and are now doing 20-30 in your neighborhood. It will shift and show L5 or the like. Hit the paddle till L9 is reached again. You have to do this every single time you shift to reverse or park.
You can also buy an auto stop disable kit harness. These are generally $100-200 dollars and should be plug and play.
The post is old but figured I would post what we do here to get around auto stop in case anyone goes a lookin’.
