My first instinct is that there’s no reason for me to believe that dealerships have any inside info on future models at this stage. Tesla is known for keeping their sales reps in the dark until literally the night before product changes/announcements, so I assume GM dealerships are similarly in the dark.
That being said… man, Super Cruise on a Bolt with longer range would be beautiful. Then again, didn’t GM already commit to using the Bolt platform for future EVs in the pipeline? Why would they continue revising it?
You’re correct, the dealerships and their employees seldom have any inside knowledge or information.
The best we know thus far is that the Bolt EV platform (BEV 2) is not long for this world. It will only support two more vehicles:
Meanwhile, an all-new platform will come to replace/succeed BEV 2. This will be the “real deal” EV platform that will support a signifiant/wide variety of GM electric vehicles:
