6 months age I had to replace the brake vacuum pump on my 2018 Malibu. It shattered and put pieces of metal in the engine. We got it repaired and now it has failed again. This time it did not shattered inside the motor but the blades inside the vacuum pump shattered. Why would this happen after only 6 months on the car and did this make the car overheat or did the car over heating cause the pump to fail
Update: put new vacuum pump on and now car won’t start
Curious, did you buy a GM pump or a aftermarket pump
