Fortunately while only driving 2-3 mph I accidentally hit the Park selector button and threw the slow moving vehicle in Park. I’m concerned about what could potentially happen at higher speeds. Is there a lockout feature that would prevent this from happening? Occasionally others drive my XT5 and I give strict warnings about this possibility. I would be relieved to know if there is a lockout feature. TY
I’ve done that a few times. As the vehicle was slowing to a stop I pressed it before the vehicle was at full stop. I’ve switched to just stopping and shutting of the engine. The car goes to park on its own. This is my second XT5. The first was a 2017 AWD. The current one is a 2018 AWD.
