ParticipantHi All,
Just purchased a 2017 Sierra Elevation edition, there was a $250 option charge on the invoice for 275/55R20 All-terrain tires. The truck arrived with Goodyear Wrangler SR-A 275/55R20’s.
Now, clearly these are not all-terrain tires. Goodyear themselves classify them as all season. The dealer is trying to tell me they are all-terrain tires. The Elevation option includes 20′ black rims with 275/55R20 AS BW and the factory is charging a extra $250 for All-terrain 275/55R20’s and then putting all season tires on the unit.
Has anyone else noticed this and if so was this questioned?
If my dealer won’t correct this issue, I will have to contact GM themselves and request clarification. As far as I’m concerned this is borderline fraud.

ParticipantI would also be interested to know if anyone got a satisfactory answer on this issue. I have Goodyear SR-A’s on my new 2018 Denali truck that had also had me paying $200 extra for “all-terrain” tires. From everything I have read the SR-A’s are just plain crap, and OEM on most of these trucks. And nowhere are they rated as an “all-terrain” tire! Tire Rack has them in the “Highway, All-season” category, one of the milder tread type categories they have. They don’t belong on a top of the line truck, and they certainly don’t have any basis for charging customers EXTRA for something they are not getting! We PAID for “all-terrain” tires and didn’t get them! I paid extra for a sunroof, and would be pretty pissed if it just wasn’t there! I paid for the upgraded tires, but I don’t have them! I realize it’s an older post by now but hoping someone has an update/more info, etc. Thanks.
