I have a 2017 GMC Acadia SLE 2 105k mile that just starting making a noise between 30 and 50mph. Which for the majority of trips make this noise but not continually or every trip. It literally sounds like someone taking a bike tire and putting a card in the spokes or running over drunk bumps in the road. Its literally like 5 to 15 seconds here and there. We took it to the shop and found a service bulletin for the hub assembly. They took it apart cleaned it check to see if anything was broken and it was fine and broken parts. This did not fix. They are extremely stumped because they can not find out what’s wrong with the car. They are GMC certified but not a dealership.
There are NO wobble, shake or vibrations of any kind. The vehicle is very well maintained at the GMC recommendation every time. Tires were replace about a year ago and are balanced and rotated about every 3. We do no have cheap tire either. They have had my car about 2 weeks now and are wanting to start replacing things just to see. I dont have just to see money.
Check your suspension components. If any of your Acadia’s suspension components, such as the struts or sway bar links, are loose or damaged, they can produce a clunking or rattling noise that may be more noticeable at certain speeds.
