      Hello everyone
I have a 2017 Chevrolet Volt bought used in 2020 (from Ontario dealership) – intermittent CEL came on during pandemic but never was able to get part (EGR cooler faulty was Ontario dealership diagnosis). Last January I had to get a jump for the 12-volt battery (left the 4-ways on by accident). Next morning car wouldn’t get out of ‘initializing, wait to shift’ and then 12-volt battery died while car was sitting there. When BC dealership removed the motor battery to replace BECM they diagnosed as failed (known fault with 2017 Volts) they fractured the high voltage disconnect relay and had to get a replacement and splice it. The first BECM replacement failed while they had the car and they had to do a 2nd BECM replacement before the car was returned to me (all under warranty). Two months later the CEL is back and I’m getting warnings of loss of steering assist, loss of propulsion etc and then 12-volt battery dies while parked. Dealership diagnosed ‘corroded wire’ by throwing salt water on it and replaced wire (>$1000 cost). Twenty four hours later same warnings come up so I return the car. They put in a new 12-volt battery and return the car to me with no CEL or warnings on dash. Thirty minutes later (after driving <2km up the hill to store and parking it) I start the car and all the same warnings are back as well as no communication with fully charged electric motor battery (just went straight to gas). I turned it off and on again, CEL light is on and communication with EV battery back so I drive it home since it’s obvious the dealership doesn’t know what they are doing. Car is parked, charging (level 1 charger) for ~24 hours and when I go to start it it says ‘initializing, wait to shift, propulsion reduction etc’ so car is now un-drivable AGAIN! Any ideas?
