Hi guys,
Since brand new I’ve noticed a weird RPM dependant shudder. It only starts around 3800rpm and lasts to about 5000rpm. Doesn’t matter the gear or speed, totally on engine speed. It’s a weird, almost audible vibration. I can take the truck up to 160km/h and no vibration as long as it’s under 3800rpms.
I’ve had the truck into GMC here in Nova Scotia, and they’ve basically told me I’m crazy. They say there isn’t a damn thing they can do.
Have you guys had any issues with this? I’m leaning towards a torque converter, but I’m a bit lost – my local dealer is doing nothing to help.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
I think the dealer may be right. 5000 rpm, are you drag racing? Why do you have to drive that fast?
