I have a 2015 Yukon with about 18,000 miles. About two months ago I go out to my car and see pieces of black plastic under the dash board on the passenger side and in the back seat on the right side of the car. I then noticed the rat droppings. I put out a rat trap and caught the rat. I figured it was a freak accident. About three weeks later I heard squeaking in the back of the car while I was driving. I decided then to take the car to the dealership I bought the car at which was Williamson Cadillac in Miami. They had the car for 14 business days. I had to call my insurance company before they would even search for the rat or any issues with the car. When the insurance company came out they took the dashboard apart and came to the conclusion that the rats were coming threw the air conditioning ducts. They said they could not do anything because if they cover up the way the rats were coming through it could make my car not have ac and would also cancel my warranty. I then took the car to another dealership and they came to the same conclusion. So I contacted General Motors. I had over 4 customer service representatives and none of them could do anything to help me. My problem is if the rats are coming through my air conditioner and that is the only problem with the car they should be going in other cars as well. Apparently the only way to fix this problem is to make it someone else problem and trade the car in and pay an extra $12,500 for another vehicle.
