I have a 2015 Silverado with 61,500 miles and the A/C quit cooling. I located the leak at a weld on the condenser. Very common with my vehicle so it is a defective part. After much research I found that GM is aware about the defect and only provides a special provision for repair on Tahoe, Suburban. My Silverado uses the same part number as the Tahoe. Also found that there have been class-action lawsuits filed over GM’s refusal to repair/replace the condenser at their cost. I have been a loyal owner/driver of GM vehicles for 50 years since 1975. After visiting a local dealership today I was told the repair is not covered. I will repair the A/C myself at my expense. Then I will get rid of the piece of CRAP Silverado! My loyalty to GM ends today. They are not loyal to their customers. Integrity goes a long way. So does ‘Word of Mouth’. Ford’s reputation is not any better. It looks like I can no longer trust American made vehicles. So long GM!!!
Chevy should take care of that In a show of good faith.
