I have a 2915 Sierra SLE crew cab with 93000 miles. I noticed last year that the paint around the bottom rear edge of my passenger side back door glass was peeling. It began to “walk” up the window edge for more than a foot before I finally covered it with white vinyl prior to winter setting in. I am in Michigan, so I wanted to minimize salt exposure.
When I took it to my dealer, they claimed it was caused by a paint chip (ridiculous). This is clearly delamitation of the paint and had body shops confirm this.
Within the last month, the opposite side door is doing the same thing. Carcomplaints.com showed that many people are having the same problem. I don’t know if it is color specific, but those people were also complaining about the ice white paint. Has anyone been able to get satisfaction from GM and have this repaired?
Although I would prefer not to, there is a Florida class action suit that I may need to join.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
