So now that the atlas inspired F150 came out, what does everybody think? Does GM have some catching on to do? I do feel that there are some things in the F150 that are exclusive in this segment though aka things that the twins and Ram doesn’t have. But I just feel like outside of what we know of the exclusive things in this truck it just looks like if they just put in a new nose and rear end and call it a day. In another words, it just looks like a F150 (nothing special).
Edit: 2015 F-150 info for context:

I really like the 2014 Silverado/Sierra, however they definitely need to do something to set themselves apart from the competition. They passed up the opportunity to have the 3.0L Diesel and now Ram is using it. And now the 2015 f150’s 2.7L turbo V6 and major Aluminum use. It’s cool how well gm did with naturally aspirated engines in the new Silverado but I think GM should start taking some bigger risks in engine options as diesels and turbo V6’s offer improved fuel economy and torque. I hope to see some updates in the engine line throughout the 3rd gen Silverado and Sierra.

Or I think they should just offer both Diesel, TT, as well as the 3 engines that comes with it…… they might as well put a panoramic sunroof if they can. I also never understand why the twins never offer HID headlights on the top of the line trim and the Heads up display!! It also appears to me that Ford does great on trucks, but not great on SUVs like their expedition and navigator. Which brings me to this point, what the hell is Lincoln doing with their refreshed Navigator? Like really?? that grille is definitely hideous!! They really could of just use the ones from the MKZ!

It would be nice if GM could design/produce something original, like maybe a low rpm turbo engine that could run on pure ethanol or E85 while being torky and delivering mid 20’s on the highway. And since ethanol is about 50 cents cheaper per gallon then 87, it would be a home run. This engine doesn’t need to be fast like ecoboost, but enough torque to easily pull 12 k trailer up a mountain.
