Hello i come in hopes of some clarity to an issue i am having with my truck. my oil pressure is jumping from 35-42 up to 60 and back. it all happens within a few frames but i put a scan tool on it and the absolute oil pressure follows it in the spike. i was lead to investigate the absolute pressure because the dash cluster is known to go out but i replaced the oil pressure sensor on the front of the block under the throttle body first and there was no change, so i recorded some data with a buddys ethos scan tool and it showed both values jumping up. At first the issue was only after a fresh start and now it is under acceleration and mid range speeds (35-45mph). i am some what mechanically inclined and am able to do research but most anything i find is in the event of loss of oil pressure which is not my issue. no MIL light or codes are thrown but it seems to me there is a restriction somewhere, if anyone has ran into this problem frequently please let me know what the solve was so i dont have to wait and replace a bunch of parts.
thanks,
the boat guy
