I’ve read a lot of posts on this issue, watched too many videos and now at the point of a loss. I have ZERO confidence in GM and the Chevrolet line.
My problem began a little over 4 weeks ago, call it a hiccup. After driving for about 45 minutes ( expressway ) then onto local roads, while stopped at a traffic light my Z dies ! I throw it into neutral and I’m able to restart it and proceed into a parking lot where it dies again.
My Z has 105K miles, daily driver ,( is well cared for and lives better than most people ) at the time of the incident the ac was on, temp outside was about 85*. Proceeded with picking up a few items and driving home. Halfway home I can only describe it as a Hard downshift .
Brought the vehicle into a local garage where I was informed I needed a new Throttle body and MAF sensor. It lasted a week !
I’ve researched the local dealerships in my area and cant find one with “decent ” reviews that I would even consider. And that Is why I’m here. Please help. -
