After working for over a year, my iPhone 5 will no longer play music through the color touch screen radio using a USB cord. It starts to play a song, says its indexing, and then produces a black box that says ‘Please try again’, and then switches back to the radio.
I’ve taken it to the dealer twice with the most recent being today. They couldn’t figure it out, only to say its the phones fault even though we took the phone and the cord to a new terrain on the lot and everything worked perfectly? That being said, we used a sales person’s iPhone 5 in my car and it worked. My wife’s iPhone 5c also will work in my car. The technician said even though my phone did work in the terrain on the lot, he could do nothing for me because the tests they ran on my radio produced no error codes and therefore did not qualify for a warranty replacement.
Please help someone!! This technology was a main reason I bought this car last year and now it doesn’t work!! I’ve even reset my phone but that didn’t fix it!
