Does any know why the advertised color is no where to be found. A friend say he had a dealer check and there is not one 2013 Avalanche in Fairway Green but also there is no reason why. He wants one but prefers to buy from dealer stock.
I can find no constraints on this color but not one has been built since production started on 2013 models. Dealers and GM customer service has no answer.
I believe Fairway Metallic is a late model-year option… but it is strange that neither the dealers nor GM have been able to comment on this. Is that still the case?
Yes, even customer service has no infomation and there is nothing to indicate a late model year option.
GM constraints for 9-14
2013 Chevrolet Avalanche Lead time 8-10 (A) No restrictions
Interesting. Let me do some digging on this. I’ll get back to ya here.
I found out they started building the color this month, found a dealer who has one in transit. Note – SRX production started Sept 4 and it might have been on hold because there is a green (not same color) for the 2013 SRX which are both built in Sialo. Its an extra cost color, $195.
Just found this out from GM’s Otie McKinley: they started production with limited quantities earlier this month. After a few weeks, they increased production.
So we should start seeing them shortly.
