Hello,
I’ve got a 2012 Suburban 4WD 5.3 Vortec with 155,000 miles, Ever since I got the car I’ve noticed a rough idle almost like a misfire every once in awhile but I had just had an 07’ Yukon that did the same thing so I didn’t worry too much about it. After driving it for awhile it started to get worse, to the point where any passengers would ask about it anytime I am stopped at a light. I had noticed it went away if I shifted to neutral or park though. replaced the MAF sensor and throttle body which seemed to fix it, although it did come back once or twice and then went away again.
However last night I was coming home (~500 miles since I replaced those items) and the idle got so bad at a light that it felt like the whole car was bouncing up and down. It continued doing it whether I was in drive or not and even after I parked it kept doing it when I started the engine cold. The rpm’s were jumping around a little bit but not as much as I’d expect for so much shaking.
Any ideas on what it is or what to check first?
I also had the service airbag light come on a day or two ago but assumed that is something separate . I’m planning to scan the codes later today.
