Okay yall I need some help. I can’t really afford a new car right now so I really need help figuring this out. So I had some issues start about a year ago. It started with when I would put gas in my car then it would crank but not turn over. It would do the same thing on the 2nd try but if I hit the gas it would start. Did that everytime I put gas in. Then sometimes after it started it would idle rough and kinda sputter like it was gonna die so I’d hurry up and give it gas or just take off driving. Then about 6 mo the ago I started getting a Stabilitrak light. No clue what that means. Around the same time, this is my major issue, I started getting a msg pop up that said Engine hot AC off. The temp cage would fall all the way down to C. And my fans kick on and stay on even after the car is turned off. The fans stay on u til it drains my battery. Once I get a jump its like everything is reset the fans stop no engine hot msg and the temp gage works again. It was doing this about every other day or so. I replaced the thermostat sensor or whatever. It stopped for a while but now is doing it again but only like once a week. My step dad hooked up his little computer thing and 9 codes popped up ( P0014, P0174, P062F, P0011, P0016, P0017, P0174, P0446, P0496) but I dont think any of them have anything to do with the temp situation. He thinks I have a short somewhere. I’ve been thinking its the thermostat. Can anyone tell me whats going on and how much this could cost bc I’m clueless and have 3 babies riding in my car. Please help!
