I have the above vehicle and the Key FOB is constantly dying. I have been putting the FOB in the little cut out to charge it and it does charge but only last maybe a 1/2 day. Last week my wife was locked out of the car and could not get the FOB to get enough power to unlock the car. She waited for 30min and finally the FOB unlocked the door.

I have two questions- 1) How do you open the door when the Key FOB doesn’t work. Note that the 2011 CTS Coupe model does not have a keyed door entry. There is a key in the FOB but that only works on the glove box.

      2) IS there a way to replace the battery? If so, How?

      thanks,

      Paul

Yes you can replace the battery. I don’t know the process but it’s in the owners manual. If you don’t have an owners manual you can get that online. Hope this helps.

Hi I got a 2012 Coupe and the key fits in the lock above the license plate. Look and insert the key and turn. Then there is a little handle on the top left and pull. Your drivers door will open.
