Hello All, I have seen several discussions regarding the new Chevy Mylink. I bought my brand new 2011 Equinox LTZ a few months ago (it was still brand new) and it has Navigation/Touchscreen. I just wondered if it would be possible to upgrade to the Mylink with maybe a software upgrade? My mom just bought a brand new 2012 with Mylink and I like the Pandora etc…. Thanks for the help.
I don’t think there’s anyway you can upgrade the system on 2011s
Thanks Vic1212, I wasn’t sure but thought it would be nice if it could be upgraded. I love the system anyway but the Pandora and other apps would be sweet as well!
Hi @FDREquinox, welcome to GM Authority, and congrats on the Equinox!
@Vic1212 is correct — the color Touch radio system is not upgradeable to MyLink, as the two systems are completely different (hardware-wise).
Here’s the background info on that:

Because I have a 2012 Terrain so I know that you can’t upgrade it nor you can have it with the NAV until the 2013 comes. But I do want to know if you can take that system out and buy the Mylink/Intellilink systems (that whole screen) from Ebay though
Thanks everyone for the responses!
