      Just bought my 2010 Equinox with 29,000 miles and it PINGS….help???

      @Coach congrats on the Equinox and welcome to GM Authority!

      Which engine did you get, the 2.4 or the 3.0? That could help in figuring it out.

      2.4 cyl. and pinging, like the gas isn’t getting to the spark at the right time or the gasoline isn’t ‘heavy’ enough etc.

      @Coach got it. I’ve never heard of the pings on the 2.4; just once on the 3.0

      The good news is that you’re still covered by the powertrain warranty (for a long, long time); I’d recommend having a dealer check it out and going from there.

      Perhaps @GM_Customer_Svc Brandon could chime in here?

      Yeah I would take to the dealer and see what happens….. I have a Terrain with the 3.0 but i don’t have that problem yet nor do I want that to happen anytime soon….
