Hi,
I have a 2010 Cobalt LT and I am getting power but no crank. It started just fine until the battery died. I replaced the battery and the battery terminals and haven’t been able to start it since. It’s been at the mechanic for almost 2 months and they have barely looked at it. I am getting fed up with waiting. I am guessing a fuse/relay or maybe an anti theft thing. I looked up how to reset the anti theft but it didn’t help though. Possibly the ignition? I do not think it’s the starter because it doesn’t sound like power is getting to the starter. I also do not hear the fuel pump fire up when turn the key on. The car ran perfectly fine until the battery died and I replaced it with a brand new battery.
If anyone has a clue, I would appreciate any help I can get. I know mechanics are down these days but it’s been almost 2 months and I keep paying insurance on a car that I haven’t been able to even drive it yet. I need the car to get a job and I am running out of money.
Thank you for your time.
