I need help (my background: I’ve worked on my kids cars and mine for the last 9 years on their cars and my car the last 15 years. I’ve been a single mom and told my kids they buy the cars i will fix them til they get done with school. I’ve youtube’d a lot but have always been able to find what the issues are and fix them.)
On my 2009 impala originally when i turned there was grinding occurring. I changed out both wheel hubs, It continued on the driver side so I also changed the cv axle on the driver side. The grinding still did not stop. Just the other day I put on a new caliper on the driver side as well. ( i did buy the wheel hubs through rock auto and bought the cv axle through advanced auto using their 20% online discount).
When turning left the grinding diminished however it is still there. So when i’m slowly accelerating there is still a grinding noise .
The abs lights go on and off.
I’ve done my research on this issue from multiple sites, but I’m getting frustrated. Originally i was thinking it was the rack and pinion. (I’m still hoping its not). Based of the research i’ m down to a possible engine mount/ bushings. Does anyone have any suggestions or have dealt with this issue.
please help.
Michele
