I have a 2008 Silverado 2500hd that will only go about 20mph and almost stalls when I hit the brakes I’ve replaced spark plugs and wires. Could it be a brake booster or a iac valve please send me in the right direction to fix it
What engine and trans?
Definitely sounds like a vacuum leak if it only happens when you hit the brakes. I would start by checking any hoses for cracks/leaks, if nothing then the IAC. I know the IAC is pretty common to go out especially at higher miles, if not that then maybe TPS? Does it idle high on cold startups or is it difficult to start when hot?
